About

After receiving her undergraduate degree in Genetics from UC Davis, Dr. Klein earned her PhD at UC Irvine, where she studied transcriptional regulation during epithelial development. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine at Shriners Children’s Northern California and later continued her research at the IPRM as a Project Scientist while also teaching as an adjunct professor.

Research

Transcriptional regulation in brain development and disease, pediatric diffuse midline gliomas, cerebral palsy, epithelial wound healing, genomics, transcriptomics, machine learning, integrating multi-omics datasets for large-scale systems-level analysis.
